Amangala Adventures is a small, family owned tour operation company (DMC) based in the Galapagos Islands.  We are experienced, passionate and dedicated to providing a once in a lifetime travel experience in one of the most unique places on earth.  We specialize in small, private groups of no more than 10 guests on any given week.  We cater to everyone: families, divers, water lovers, nature lovers, adventurers, non-surfers, surfers, pros and begginers.  We love what we do and will make sure you have an extraordinary experience.

Owner and “Chief Activities Officer”, Eddie Salazar, is a former Ecuadorian national surfing champion and diver with over 1000 dives in the Galapagos.  Uncle Eddie, as he is affectionately called by friends and family, started his journey by providing surfing and spot knowledege to passing surfers in the mid 90s and eventually started to offer organized nature tours in the Galapagos in 2001. Since then, over 3,000 guests have been able to enjoy not only world class surf but also one of the most amazing and unique archipelagos in the world.

Ama la vida is a simple Spanish phrase that means “to love life”.  It is Ecuador’s national slogan and a way of life.  Amangala is our simple phrase that means “to love the Galapagos”.  It is our way of life and core belief that we plan to pass on to each of our clients….

OUR MISSION

To provide you with an extraordinary travel experience in a sustainable way.  Tourism and environmental responsibility are interchangeable words to us.  Living and working in the Galapagos, our team is acutely aware of our responsibilities as custodians to one of the most amazing places on earth.  We go above and beyond what the Galapagos National Park Directorate (GNPD) and Ecuadorian Ministry of Tourism require for tour providers.  We work with hotel partners that conserve water and energy, recycle and treat waste material and source locally produced products.  All our employees are local and extremely knowledgeable about the environment and how to protect it.  We believe in sustainable tourism and its benefits to the islands, the local population and our clients.

Amangala donates 2% of all its profits to FRENTE INSULAR, a local, non profit movement that focuses on educational programs about the impact of plastic used on the daily basis here at the islands. It also organises weekly coastal clean ups.
